What a find...!

After a long break from the meanderings through my good friends private collection, I located a secure box (about the size of four big personal travel chests) from one of the earliest shipments he had received.
This box had not been opened since it arrived, as it still had a customs check seal and sign-off tag from 1962.
After checking with my friend (the owner of the private collection and this box)
the 'all-clear' was given. With the help of an 'oxy-acetylene' torch the box was opened, this revealed a menagerie of bits and pieces.
Ex-military (some olive green others a sandy colour) motorcycle tanks/frames/wheels and what looked like early car wire wheels.
On closer inspection there were motorcycle engines which looked like old style BMW horizontally opposed twins, some painted and others clearly slightly corroded aluminium.
The whole consignment seemed to consist of parts or maybe dis-assembled motorcycles to appear as parts only.
We duly closed this very interesting box for a more organised opening at a later date.
